Education for Survivors of Human Trafficking

Project Goals

With €180 we can provide school supplies for survivors who are preparing to go back to school; with €360 we can support survivors by paying tuition to put them through higher education or professional job training; and with another €360, we can finance tutoring programs so survivors can receive the attention and training they need in order to be equipped for a professional position.

Project Location

United States, North America

Project Details

It is estimated that 100,000 to 300,000 minors are trafficked in America every year. Amongst these victims, the average age of someone being trafficked is 12 years old. Whether it be through social media, lover boys or coercion at school, human trafficking is an issue we are seeking to abolish in the USA. Because so many people are trafficked at a young age, many A21 survivors enter our care desiring an education they never had the chance to receive. We aim to help girls achieve high school diplomas and provide technical training or a higher education. Some of the areas we aim to assist with are:

  • School Supplies
  • Tuition
  • Tutoring
  • Professional Job Training
  • When a survivor has an education, she is more qualified for a job and confident in her skills and abilities. A job leads to financial stability, which lessens, if not eliminates, her chance of being trafficked again.

    134.587
Since 2021 we've already been able to plant 134.587 trees thanks to the wall art sold on Photocircle. They will absorb approximately 10.766.960 kg CO₂ within the next five years and improve the living conditions of the people locally.
