Project Details

Due to severe floods and landslides in Myanmar, affecting more than 1 million people, a comprehensive emergency appeal was launched by the International Red Cross and Red Crescent Movement, to which about 500 staff members and volunteers of the Red Cross are contributing. They are carrying out evacuations as well as providing first aid, relief supplies and clean water. So far, the Red Cross has been able to reach over 50,000 people with their emergency aid. Additionally, the Red Cross is providing households with essential household items, hygiene packages and tents. They also handout cash.
