"I bought my first camera six years ago and quickly found a way of expressing myself with this medium. After about a year of digital photography, I started with analog. I was born in Stockholm, Sweden. My father is Swedish, but my mother a former refugee from Chile during Pinochet's dictatorship. Because of this, I grew up with a partly different cultural background, with different views on life, different ideas of what's allowed and what's not, trying to fit into a conservative society out in the countryside. And perhaps thats why I always had the feeling of being an outsider, trying to blend in, yet not quite being able to do so. When I started with photography, I suddenly had a reason of keeping at arm's length from everyone else, observing rather than participating. This is part of the reason why I am the kind of photographer that I am today. Through the lens, you will see through into my soul and discover how and with which emotions I see the world around me."
