Amalia, where are you from and where do you live now?
I'm from Messina, a seaside town in Sicily, but I've been living in Rome for seventeen years.
-
How would you describe your artistic style?
It's very difficult for me to describe my artistic style. I think it's very graphic, synthetic. And when I can... with irreverent content! My favorites :)
-
Vector or watercolor?
Vector!
-
New York or remote mountain hut?
New York!
-
Becks or Merlot?
Becks! I love beer very much!
-
And a little Proust: What is your idea of perfect happiness?
That perfect happiness does not exist? It sounds very dark as a thought. In fact, it would be easy to be happy, but mankind, by nature, wants more and more, so it's difficult to stay happy for a long time. What a difficult question!
-
Which living person do you most admire?
I would say Franca Leosini, she is a great woman and journalist.
-
What do you consider the most overrated virtue?
I would certainly say faith.
-
What or who is the greatest love of your life?
My beautiful cat, her name is Olga and she's my love! I have a future as cat lady in store for me ;)
-
If you were to die and come back as a person or a thing, what would it be?
I would like to be a mighty witch, who, with her magical powers, makes the world a better place. It's nice to dream!
-
The world needs more...
good vibrations, positive thoughts. And certainly much more irony: irony will save the world!
-
I’ve changed my mind about…
I'm very stubborn, so it's difficult for me to change my mind. But when it happens, I always think it's a good thing. It's interesting to see the world from other points of view!

What most people don't understand is that…
you must not take yourself too seriously.
