Find out more about Christoph Schaarschmidt
I'm just a guy that grow up in a little village near Chemnitz/Germany. 2013 I finished my studies in Media Engineering. During and after this I worked in a photo laboratory. Right now I'm 31 years old, travelling the world, photographing und thinking about what I want to do after this.
Besides photography my biggest passions are hiking, camping and cooking. When I can combine all these things I really get the feeling of being myself – when I hike to a remote place or see a popular sight on my own at night and save this moment with my camera.
My pictures are intense, full of color and movement, often longtime or multible exposures of one szenery. Many of my photos get developed finally on the computer – which makes the excitement for the result the same as waiting for an analogue picture to develop.
My photos were published in international media such as National Geographic Traveler, USA Today and BuzzFeed. Also some of my pictures and movies reached good placements in competitions.
For each art print you buy, Christoph Schaarschmidt and Photocircle plant trees in Ethiopia.
