Find out more about Dominic Lars
Dominic, where are you from and where do you live now?
I grew up in the beautiful Lauter valley in the south of Germany where I still reside.
How would you describe your artistic style?
I would describe my style as modern and rich of contrast. I like to place objects right in the middle of my photos.
What's on top of your bucket list (as an artist or just as a person)?
For me, there are no differences between me as an artist and as a person. I would like to visit every country there is, but I prefer less frequented places. Russia, Madagascar, Ethiopia, Kenya, Indonesia, Greenland and a lot of other countries are on my bucket list.
Analogue or digital?
I only work with digital.
New York or remote mountain hut?
Without a doubt: a mountain hut!
Becks or Merlot?
Becks!
And a little Proust: Which living person do you admire the most?
I admire my grandparents the most.
What do you consider the most overrated virtue?
Idealism.
What or who is the greatest love of your life?
Nothing yet.
The world needs more...
open- minded people.
What most people don't understand is that…
life is worth living and your belief will help create the fact.
For each art print you buy, Dominic Lars and Photocircle plant trees in Ethiopia.
